The Limerick Garden trail contains 7 of the best gardens in the region, many have won National Awards and have featured in gardening magazines.
The Limerick Garden Trail is a new idea for County Limerick, it celebrates the diversity and range of gardening in this part of the west of Ireland. We are fortunate to have the Gulf stream which affords us a mild, subtropical climate where we can grow many tender and unusual plants. Many plants from the Southern Hemisphere thrive in this region, the tree fern Dicksonia can be found in many gardens.
The garden trail contains seven gardens that range in size from small to very large gardens, from new to old gardens, so there is something to stimulate the novice and experienced gardener. The gardens are situated along some of the most attractive routes through the county and can be included with some of the other attractions of the county.
Some of the gardens in the trail are open daily from May to October, the rest are open by appointment only, check the individual gardens for opening times.
